BKM, David, Richie & the whole team are the most honest & professional auto shop I've dealt with after 27 years in Manhattan. They are conveniently located near the 59th Street bridge/off Northern Blvd. They also don't mind working on late model cars and my Volvo S70 is kept in good repair, though on more than one occasion the guys at BKM have given me solid advice & saved me money on repairs not needed. That is a rare attribute in a car repair shop and is why I trust them. They went the extra mile for me on more than one occasion, fixing a part rather than replacing it. Plus being a dog-friendly shop means I bring my pup to hang out in the waiting room while they work. If you need work done by an honest shop, you can't go wrong here.

P.S. they throw in a free wash with their service, which is a really nice touch.

I have a 2013 Bmw 3 series and I am very hesitant to bring my car to just any repair shop. I had a check engine light and took it to my regular repair shop and they sent me off saying they can't fix and I have to go to the stealerships.

As a BMW owner, the stealership is ALWAYS last resort. I found BKM online and messaged David right away and told him my issue. He wrote back with knowledgable things about a BMW repair and right that moment I knew he'd know how to fix my car.

I took it to the shop and he diagnosed my issue. I picked it up the same day and was told to let them know if the issue comes back. Unfortunately, the issue came back the next day. I told David right away and Richie, a member of the team, came ALL THE WAY TO MY JOB to come pick up the car. They're that serious about satisfying their customers.

What ended up happening is that the issue we thought was actually not an issue at all. In fact, it was the battery. This was only curable because David and his team are knowledgable. If you read the fine print of a wastegate actuator issue, it says that the voltage from the battery can cause an issue. Any other repair shop would've just swapped out the wastegate and the problem would've occurred. But because David has 20+ years experience in repairing cars, he knew to work backwards.

A week later my car is running like it's brand new and I couldn't be any more happier.

Thank you David and Richie and the rest of the team for being patient with me and being respectful and caring! Will definitely be bringing my car back to the shop for any repairs.

Amazing experience fixing my Honda after someone rear ended me. I expected it to be a $2k repair job and it wound up being $600. The staff is super professional and goes out of their way to remember their customers. I called yesterday because the door of our other car got scratched in our terribly parking lot, they remembered me and my car from several months back and that I lived fairly close by. Things you don't expect from a auto body shop that I am super impressed by- it's truly the little things!

This review is way overdue! I can't thank David, Richie, Ricky and the rest of the crew enough for their hospitality, professionalism and kindness. I brought in my e46 BMW for an inspection and they really took care of me. This is the place that if something is wrong, they're not just going to fix the problem but anything that's associated with it. I tried in going to other places that specialize in BMW and they couldn't figure out what's going wrong with it. This place actually shows you what's wrong, let's you see it for yourself instead of telling you what's wrong and make even questioned if you're being cheated like a lot of shops I've been too. If you love your Bmw or European car & you're looking for a place that would take care of you and are friendly, DO NOT CHEAT YOURSELF & your car! They made sure my car would pass that inspection. They did so many things that were above and beyond. I almost lost hope for my car, even put it up on sale. Then I took it to them and now it runs like never before. I appreciate them so much. Def my go to place for anything I need with my car!

I'm embarrassed I haven't written a review sooner, based on the 30 plus years David has been working on my 1974 BMW 2002Tii. What I have done is sent a number of people to him over those years for repairs to their car, no matter what model. He always made me look good as they always raved about how well they were taken care of, and how honest the experience was.....enough so that many became repeat customers. These reviews can be challenging. Knowing David so well, how can you trust what I say. The fact is I've been to several different mechanics over the years, but David is the one I keep coming back to for his deep knowledge and amazing skills. The other mechanics are great, the staff is knowledgable friendly, and always there to help.

A long overdue review of this exceptional auto repair shop. I've been coming to BKM for the last several years and have been overwhelming happy with their service. The owner, David Hall, is a real gentleman and genuinely cares for each of his customer's vehicles. I have a 2001 BMW 7 Series which is a complex vehicle and repairs can add up quickly. David and his team have kept the car running in top condition and have never once tried to sell me on any unnecessary repairs. He is honest, straightforward, and extremely knowledgeable. He has also worked on my brother's Audi A4 which is running better than ever. His prices are as affordable as you can expect for these cars. Most of all, his is extremely honest and is dedicated to 100% satisfaction. Wish I would have found David and BKM a long time ago instead of wasting a lot of time & money at "official" BMW dealerships that are over-priced and know less and less about older cars. Fully recommend David and BKM for any customer that wants honest and expert care for their vehicle.
